Incredible 1970s sheep’s wool woven artwork wall hanging.
Based on Picasso’s Guernica artwork, one of Picasso’s most famous and moving works commissioned as a political statement.
Tones of rich brown and charcoal on an oatmeal sheep’s wool base. Naturally dyed. Woven in Peru by a weaver Gilberto Palomino.
Mounted to a lightweight timber frame with a wire for hanging. 

Dimensions

 120cm high x 190cm wide x 3cm thick 

Condition 

Wonderful vintage condition. The woven fibres are all intact with nothing loose. There is some fading across the piece, namely on the left hand side.
